A Jeep Wrangler that wanders, pulls, and clunks through every turn was unsafe for our client. When this one came in, the steering wheel had too much play, turning felt heavy and resistant, and there was an audible knock every time the wheel moved. On top of that, the vehicle was drifting left without any input from the driver. Classic signs that something in the steering and suspension had given up.
Our technicians did a full hands-on inspection of the steering and suspension system, not a quick visual check, but a proper component-by-component evaluation. Three problems came back: worn tie rod ends that had lost their grip, a blown steering stabilizer that was no longer absorbing road feedback, and an alignment that had drifted well outside spec. On a Wrangler built to take on rough terrain, these aren’t minor wear items they directly affect how the vehicle handles both on tarmac and off it.
We replaced the tie rod ends and steering stabilizer with quality components, corrected the wheel alignment to manufacturer specifications, and lubricated every steering component in the system. Then we tested it properly not just a lap around the block, but on-road and off-road to make sure the steering felt confident in both environments. Because a Wrangler that can’t handle off-road confidently has missed the point entirely.
Straight tracking. Responsive steering. No more clunks, no more drift, no more second-guessing the wheel.
The owner left with a Wrangler that handled the way it was designed to be precise on the highway and planted it off. Sometimes the difference between a frustrating drive and a confident one comes down to three worn components and a proper alignment. That's exactly what we fixed.
